Science Café: From gleaners to urban consumers | Success and problems of our food systems

Over the last 150 years our food systems have been transformed, food has never been so accessible and affordable for most of the global population. Yet these new food systems come with problems of disease emergence, food related diseases, animal welfare and environment change. I will explore these changes and suggest how we might make a successful system more able to address current and future challenges.
