Science Café: Environmental and ecological science of the Clyde catchment
The Clyde River Foundation researches the ecology of the River Clyde and its tributaries and promotes environmental education throughout the catchment. Its work is intended to improve our understanding and management of 6,000km of burns and rivers. Dr Willie Yeomans has led a small team of scientists researching the ecology of the River Clyde ‘all the way from Leadhills to the sea’ (as the song says!) since 2002 and will talk about the scientific (fish, water quality and habitat surveying) and education work the Foundation undertakes.
