  food systems have been transformed\, food has never been so accessible and
  affordable for most of the global population. Yet these new food systems c
 ome with problems of disease emergence\, food related diseases\, animal wel
 fare and environment change. I will explore these changes and suggest how w
 e might make a successful system more able to address current and future ch
 allenges.
