Biggar Science Festival brings science out of the lab and into the streets, halls and gardens of Biggar. Nine days, dozens of events, one simple idea: science is for everyone, whatever age you are and however much you already know.
About the Biggar Science Festival
In 2017 a group of scientists, engineers and science enthusiasts in Biggar met and decided to trial a Science Festival.
Our aim was to inform, entertain, inspire, engage, and excite people of all ages, genders and backgrounds in the wonder of all areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). Most importantly, we aim to educate people about science without making them think it is scary, difficult or “not for them” – everyone can enjoy and understand science to some degree.
